The movie has such a fast paste you don't feel it's length. The westerns it draws it's inspiration from like "the good the bad and the ugly" move much slower. I'm surprised you didn't mention the great music by Ennio Morricone.

Oh yes, in the post I overlooked the incredible soundtrack of the movie. Ennio Morricone does a great job with The Braying Mule, Sister Sara's, Ancora Qui, Unchained, and A Monument. Although my favorite was Brother Dege's Too Old to Die Young.
