Hello Steemians,
I hope you liked the previous post about the movie which was the best at awarding at the second Oscars, and that you were intrigued by the text to watch them. Frankly, during my research on the history of the Oscars, I have come across many films that have received awards a long time ago, which are a real masterpiece and are very important for the history of the film. Except that I share this with you in Steemit Union, I hope that you will also look at some of these films, so we can comment and comment on them together. I can hardly wait for that to happen :)
We continue with the history of the Oscars, and in this today's text I will write about the third award of this prestige statue, which was held the same year as the second award. So in its history it was the first and only time that two awards were held in the same year. The reason for this is quite simple and without any intrigue. Namely, the Academy considered that it was too long a period of 8 months from the premier screening of the film to the award, so they thought it was enough to last for 3 months. For that reason, another Oscar award was held the same year.
The biggest award winner was All Quiet on the Western Front, whose producer and director, Lewis Milestone, became the first person to win two Oscars the same year - for best film and best directing, which will become commonplace in all subsequent Oscars later in the year.
The Love Parade had a record six nominations, but failed to win any Oscar.
In the Oscars' 3rd Oscars, a new category - Oscar for the best sound was introduced for the first time.
And the statistics are about one more information: Film All Quiet on the Western Front and The Big House (Best Screenplay And Best Sound) are accomplishments with the most Oscars. They divided two statues.
All Quiet on the Western Front
It represents the adaptation of the famous novel written by German writer Erich Maria Remarque. The film's action was set during the First World War on the Western Front and followed a group of young German soldiers who were subjected to hunger, scarcity and the horrors of Trench warfare. The protagonist, whose character is interpreted by Lew Ayres, is a gymnast who reported from a sense of patriotic duty to go to the army, but who for years testifies that the front is not moving at all, and all his friends and acquaintances are dying or being crippled in angry ways. The essence is that he understands what kind of fear this war brings with it, as it remains without dear people, it leads many times to the question of the purity of the entire war and the sense of patriotism. So the film has a deep philosophical note and the question of whether idealists like the main character in the film can survive in the harsh world of war and suffering. For all war movie lovers, this is a movie that you can not bypass if you have not looked at it already. It will surely leave you breathless, although so far a lot of movies captured on the subject of warfare, this masterpiece of 1930. It's really something extraordinary. Do I need to mention that this movie has been revived several times and that new versions have been made, but film critics agree in one. It is impossible to overcome the 1930 version. Why?
First of all, the Scenario was extremely faithful to the literary template, and it did not disappoint the book lovers, the more he tried to fully meet the writer, and additionally added the book. the film is very authentic, and then brutally naturalistic standards show the reality of war has been enabled. Despite the "heavy" theme and depressing tone, All Quiet on the Western Front hit the taste of the American audience and its pacifist at the time, and became the biggest commercial hit of the year. Today it is considered one of the classic anti-war film, or film at all.

Other nominees in the Best Film category were:
• Irving Thalberg for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer - The Big House
• Jack Warner iDarryl F. Zanuck for Warner Bros. - Disraeli
• Robert Z. Leonard for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer - The Divorcee
• Ernst Lubitsch for Paramount Pictures - The Love Parade
Of these films I would single out movie Disraeli . Given that it is about British Prime Minister and the political situation about the Suez Canal. The theme is as you can see political, and I( as a politician science student) am particularly interested in such films and I really will not miss to look at it, because of its historical significance, and also because of its enjoyment in historical films. In addition, the main actor in this film, George Arliss, won the Academy Award for Best Actor for this film. I have enough reason for looking at me, and I hope for you :)
