Jack decides that this year he will bring Christmas to the children of the world, and sets about convincing the citizens of Halloween town to help him accomplish his dream.

Although it’s often titled Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas Burton had very little to do with the production of the film, it’s based on a poem written by Burton back when worked at Disney in the early eighties and then turned into a screenplay by someone else entirely.

Despite starting his career working on animations The Fox and The Hound and The Black Cauldron Burton didn’t make his first animated feature until twelve year’s after A Nightmare Before Christmas namely 2005’s The Corpse Bride.

Burton said is inspiration for the original poem came from watching shop assistants taking town Halloween merchandise and replacing it with Christmas Merchandise, as well classic TV specials like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and How the Grinch Stole Christmas
