This may well be so, but what does it tell us apart from which movies are going to rake in the most cash in 2018? Batman v. Superman was atrocious, yet it commanded the box office. Star Wars TLJ was anything but - imo - but it did not matter. I feel any of the huge blockbuster sagas have to be consistently terrible before people stop watching. For me, no matter that I usually watch everything, that meant skipping Justice League.
