Booksmart is the first movie of Olivia Wilde in a directors’ chair, so please have mercy on her. Usually, I don’t give bad critics on movies, but watching the official trailer, I didn’t receive any good vibrations from the film. Maybe it is because I am older guy and the movie target audience are teenage girls, and generally younger population. But, trailers can lie.
After graduation, two great students and best friends realize that they should have worked less and partied more. But, to compensate that, they decided to unleash them and fun more from that day.

As I already wrote, this is director debut for Olivia Wilde, who is well known actress from popular Tron franchise, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013), The Lazarus Effect (2015), etc. She brought some popular actors into this movie like Lisa Kudrow, Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte, Skyler Gisondo, but only for supporting roles in the film.
Two main roles are assigned to Kaitlyn Dever (known from many TV shows like Last Man Standing or Justified) and Beanie Feldstein, who is known from Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising comedy movie.
