Part 2 of my homage to the greatest and most underrated director of our time who created some timeless classics in the last three decades. I'll just let the images speak for themselves, even without music or sound or even moving pictures they leave a lasting impression.
From the movie Blackhat:
Mann manages to cast the most characteristic actors into even the smallest supporting acts. Locations needless to say are also very well picked and sometimes usual, sometimes exotic - in this case a lot of the film takes place in Jakarta.
And from the timeless classic of the 90s called Heat:
One of Mann's many signature angles, mounting the camera on the nose of the car and filming in wide angle - epic.
The final scene, two hunters not wanting to fight each other but trapped by their nature on opposing sides of the law.
