Star Trek: No.1 on my IMAX list!

in film •  4 years ago

There has always been an inexplicable obsession with space movies. It seems that the eyes with high myopia are destined to be hard to cover up a soul longing to gaze at the vast starry sky.

Once upon a time, he indulged in the exploration of the origin of the universe and the annihilation of the stars, and was full of the fantasy of flying at the speed of light.

Nowadays, the real pressure of life has already squeezed the redundant thoughts out of the gray brain cells. Only occasionally after a movie or a piece of music can we vaguely disturb the illusion like smoke and cloud.

Even so, it's a rare memory and sentiment

Just as I stubbornly believe that the best movie in 2012 is Prometheus and 2013 is gravity, I will leave No.1 in my mind in 2014 to star crossing. Not for anything else, but for the deep emotion brought by the realization of the childhood dream in an image way.

All along, I hope Star Trek can be shown again to satisfy my wish to revisit the past.

Six years later, when we had been away from the cinema for half a year, happiness suddenly knocked on the door. I welcome it with a kind of almost sacred psychology.

Why do I love Star Trek so much? Is it because it's the only science fiction movie of Nolan?

I think the deeper level should be that the "lonely" core under the cloak of science fiction hit my heart.

In recent years, almost all space science fiction films are about the word "loneliness" except for the pure commercial space adventure films.

Sandra Bullock in gravity is desperate loneliness after losing her companion in silence;

Matt Damon in Mars rescue is a lonely and optimistic person;

Michael Fassbender in the alien: the contract is a creator loneliness who yearns for divine attachment;

Chris parrat in space traveler has to face the physical and psychological loneliness of being single for decades;

Sam Rockwell in the moon is a clonal loneliness who can only talk to himself;

Tommy Lee Jones and Brad Pitt in star quest, the loneliness that rationalists and sensualists can't understand each other

Why do people like to use space science fiction films as the carrier of loneliness?

Because the universe is boundless, empty and lonely, which magnifies the sadness and loneliness in people's hearts.

The infinity of the universe and the finiteness of the individual form a contrast in space;

Countless stars and companions less than or equal to one also cause a contrast in number;

The lightness of weightlessness in space contrasts with the heaviness of spacesuit;

The interstellar distance, measured in light years, once again contrasts with the lifespan of human beings

All these make people who look up at the starry sky unconsciously stimulate philosophical thinking in various dimensions. In the spacecraft deep in space, the only spiritual direction of astronauts is loneliness.

However, it is star trek that really brings the connotation of loneliness into full play.

Richard Yates wrote a Book eleven kinds of loneliness. Let me sort it out in the general chronological order of the film

The first kind of loneliness: human loneliness

When the natural ecology has been destroyed to an irreparable degree, the earth has fallen into an unprecedented crisis, crops have been infected with Fusarium Wilt and extinct, and the earth has fallen into the doomsday panic of sandstorm and famine.

Are we abandoned by God?

The invincible human being is finally overwhelmed by the humble loneliness.

The second loneliness: the loneliness of UAV

The creator has abandoned human beings, and human beings have also abandoned their own creation - UAV, although it seems that they have to.

The Indian Air Force drone has been flying alone for ten years. Can we feel its loneliness?

"What are you going to do with it?"

"Let it do something useful to society."

"Can't you let it go? It didn't hurt anyone. "

"This thing has to learn to adapt, just like us..."

The third loneliness: the loneliness of basic science

When agriculture becomes the most important pillar industry of the whole earth, theoretical physics and astronomy become useless. People no longer care about quantum mechanics and relativity, and even think that the Apollo landing on the moon many years ago was a hoax.

Basic science has become declining and isolated, not being understood, as a waste of resources without practical significance.

The useless theory of science makes Cooper feel lonely and helpless, but he firmly believes that his daughter Murphy, who loves science as much as himself, is the future of mankind.

The fourth loneliness: the loneliness of young Murphy

Young Murphy is facing the loneliness of family love. His mother died early, and his father is preparing for the interstellar voyage. He doesn't know when to return. Murphy tried to use the mysterious message of "ghost" to "stay" to keep his father. After being rejected, he resented him.

This is a kind of childish loneliness, which is often ignored by the adult world. However, the "love" it contains is precisely perceived by future human beings and becomes the key to save human beings.

The fifth loneliness: the loneliness of Lazarus plan

In the eyes of Professor brand, the way to save mankind is the Lazarus plan.

It is named after the resurrection of Lazarus in the Bible, implying the death of this plan and the determination of later generations. It also lays the foundation for the subsequent revelation of plan B.

The hope of Lazarus project is very slim, NASA is almost desperate to use the remaining financial resources to complete this last fight.

"Don't walk meekly into that good night, old age should burn and roar at dusk. Roar, roar! Denounce the retreat of the light ——Dylan Thomas

This is the last roar and last desperate struggle of a few human beings in despair

It is not understood by people, willing to risk the accusation of being reviled by the world, only to complete the last struggle for the continuation of human life.

This is a road of no return, which requires a fearless and carefree traveler to die.

This road is full of difficulties and uncertainties. What is more terrible is that it is doomed to Loneliness.

The seventh loneliness: the loneliness of Dr. Mann

Dr. Mann is the most outstanding and courageous forerunner in the Lazarus project. He came to a strange planet by himself. When his supplies were about to run out, he put himself into a dormant state. He didn't set a time to wake up, so he could be said to be dead.

However, what happened when he was awakened was so reversed. Has Dr. Mann become cowardly and evil?

It's hard to define that when most people are in that situation (being alone on the other planet for so many years), they will have the same desire for survival, or be called evil thoughts.

This is a kind of physiological and psychological double loneliness which is easy to understand, and it is also the original intention and conventional state of "loneliness".

"Loneliness and isolation are beyond the pain that human beings can bear." ——Jules Verne

The eighth loneliness: adult Murphy's loneliness

When growing up, Murphy learned about Plan B from Professor brand, she expressed extreme anger on behalf of the whole earth.

This is a sense of collective loneliness, helplessness, helplessness and extreme despair after being mercilessly abandoned.

The ninth loneliness: Cooper's loneliness

In the interstellar exploration, other astronauts have no hesitation, only Cooper is lonely. He was thinking about returning to earth and fulfilling his promise to meet his daughter again. That's why Lazarus didn't choose him at first.

However, when the earth is in despair, human love is the driving force. Cooper's father's love in his heart made him undertake the mission of sailing to save mankind, which is also the reason why he finally joined the Lazarus plan.

In the theory of relativity, Einstein put forward the theory that objects with large enough mass can affect the path of light and thus distort space-time, thus inferring that stars with abnormal gravity can affect the time dimension, and the time relative to the earth is shortened, that is, the legendary "one day in the sky, one year on the earth".

If the mass of the celestial body is large enough to attract light and cannot escape, it is a "black hole", and time is close to stagnation. Future human beings will use the "black hole" capsule to save the earth in crisis.

Cooper spent 70 or 80 years relative to the earth in this process. During this period, his son graduated and got married and had children. His daughter grew up but could not forgive herself. His old father died, his grandson died young, his daughter inherited Professor brand's will, his son and daughter-in-law died, and his daughter became an old man lying on the hospital bed

A middle aged father sees off his old daughter How pathetic is death? How lonely?

On the surface, the daughter hates her father, but on the inside, she is determined to wait for the return of the "ghost" (father), but she can't explain all this to others. How tough is it? How lonely?

But when the farewell scene comes, Murphy encourages his father to embark on a new journey to save another "loneliness"

The tenth loneliness: the loneliness of Dr. brand

"She's sleeping alone in a new camp in space, and maybe she's sleeping in a new camp."

Looking at Dr. brand's firm and confused eyes at the end of the film, I can't help feeling sad for her. How many years does she have to wait for Cooper to reunite with her?

"Time" makes everything small in front of it, but makes our sincere feelings great.

The eleventh loneliness: the audience's loneliness

Although the scores of Nolan films are very high, the box office in China has not been very good. The same is true of Star Trek, which is not popular.

As soon as I heard that it was a science fiction film involving relativity, a large group of female audiences blacked it from "want to see";

In addition to Nolan's consistent brain burning, a large number of popcorn fans who only like marvel and happy Mahua also left the scene;

Looking around the movie hall, there is only a group of technical house, suspense control and Nolan iron fans left. Once in a while, one or two female viewers were dragged in by their boyfriends.

Originally, I could have my son, who likes mathematics, chemistry and science fiction, accompany me to watch the film. Although I recommended him to watch the film at home a year ago, he went to school to participate in the summer camp of basic subjects.

So, like many audiences, I went into the cinema alone. With the plum blossom pile system of selling tickets every other seat, it was very harmonious.

Is this kind of movie watching very lonely?

Very lonely, but also enjoy.

Reason 1: at the beginning of the film, when Hans Zimmer's familiar soundtrack resounds in the IMAX movie hall, the sofa resonates and trembles, and I am so excited that no one can notice my distorted face;

Reason 2: when the film was first shown in China in 2014, my daughter was just born. Six years later, when I saw Cooper watching his daughter crying in space again, I had a completely different experience. When I secretly shed tears in the movie hall, it was not so embarrassing to watch the movie alone.

Reason 3: as the film moves on, Cooper slaps the bookshelf in five dimensions, shouting "let him stay, Murphy." "No! Don't let me go, Murphy “No! No! No!” When I broke the dike, my tears would not affect others.

Born to me, you and I are destined to be lonely.

Because of everyone's personality differences, loneliness will always be hidden in the heart with you and me around.

No matter how noisy the world is, how complicated the society is, and no matter how many friends you have, how much you socialize all day long, loneliness has always been engraved there, as hard as iron.

Perhaps lonely quiet, it is easier to surface, gorgeous dance in the brain plane, evoke a line of tears wash cheek.

But what is more terrible is the inexplicable emptiness and loneliness in the noise, as if everything in the world has nothing to do with you, thousands of people have no chance with you, no one can understand you, read you, how lonely, how sad.

And alone in the vast universe, it is to play a sense of loneliness to the extreme. What follows is endless panic, helplessness and despair.

From another angle, the absolute silence and emptiness is the best time for you to enjoy the beauty of the world. The short loneliness may be the only time for you to see the beauty of the world.

Put everything down, calm the mood, taste the lonely sunrise, sunset, the passage of the universe and the bright stars in the silence, and enjoy this rare loneliness.

It's the same with movie halls in the dark.

I enjoy this rare solitude in the cinema, this time, thanks to Nolan's Star Trek.

"A person can be himself only when he is lonely. If he can't enjoy loneliness, he won't love freedom, because he is really free only when he is lonely. " ——Schopenhauer

I love Nolan because he graduated from English literature and wrote my favorite brain burning story structure;

I love Nolan, because he loves IMAX format, but never makes 3D movies. For me with high myopia, this is good news;

173437.35023479_o.jpg

I love Nolan, because no matter whether he wrapped the film in the coat of suspense film, science fiction film, war film or superhero film, there are always emotional stories that can arouse my high resonance in the core;

I love Nolan, because he insists that he never uses CG when he can shoot in real time. He has his own principles, so do I;

I love Nolan, because he is red and green color blind, I also

Walking out of the movie hall, I achieved my goal and left something behind
