I still need to spend a lot more time practicing to get the movements smooth but as you can see, it doesn't take long to get up and running. This little guy just arrived from China a few days ago and it's already getting some decent footage, even though I have zero experience with remote controlled aerial vehicles. I actually crashed it into the trees alongside a river already and one of its arms was even submerged but after retrieving it with a kayak and machete, it's back up and running like new. I'm seriously impressed with how well it has been performing and how tough it seems to be. I'd definitely recommend the Phantom 4 to anyone that's in the market.

Very nice footage indeed. A friend of mine here in Switzerland has a shop that sells them. The newest model is virtual, you wear goggles so that it makes you feel like you are flying... crazy! He has shot a few commercials for businesses and made good cash.

Could I check out your friend's shop when I visit you in Switzerland next week? Willl there be time?

Amen to that! Dang, there are so many things nudging me towards Switzerland right now. Feels like I should be making a trip over there before long...

The angles and content are phenomenal. The resolution is merely passable, but the framerate is glorious. Good stuff. :)

And you look positively sinister, crouching there smirking at the end of the video, Gabriel. Haha

Haha yeah. It can do 4k but those files take forever to upload.

Drones are awesome and a whole new level to video/photography!
There is so much you can access with a drone that is not practical without it and so many scenes angels you can get that without would be almost impossible!
Life just keeps getting more awesome!

Very cool. Perfect subject for this - horses! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! They just happened to hanging out in the lot next-door :)

Haha, those horses sure must've been confused by it. :D

Nice footage!

lol yeah, it was interesting to observe how they gathered around the colt to protect it. I got in super close a few times but felt like if I pushed my luck, the one badass brown dude would grab the drone, hurl it to the ground, and stamp it out like a white plastic cockroach.

Great video

Great, saw this on your twitter earlier, looking good, need more practice... :-)

Yup. Hoping to get really good by the end of the year.

Sweet. What camera are you using.

Saw your response about Switzerland too. Yeah, one of the freer countries still. Not a cheap place to live though.

It has a built-in camera.
I'm seeing round trip flights from Santiago to Zurich for under $800 and lots of good-looking hosts on workaway.info

That's nice. @hellomrcole is a drone pilot as well concentrating on the real estate market. Give him a holla.

Right on. It's a good racket to get into. Also betting it will be nice to have on hand during the tourism season here. I imagine one could just hang out on the beach and sell footage to people of them having fun on vacation. Local sporting events could be a good target too.
