Progress

. I enjoy old things. Ancient, antique, vintage, rustic - in that order.

. My love for old things and the old ways, however, doesn't cloud my judgment and I do understand that in certain things, the new way represents progress.

. Change is inevitable, and those people and things that refuse to change become obsolete. What we must strive for is that change represents progress, not regress.

. Relating to film photography, this photo was exposed unto a black and white emulsion. The image burnt unto the film was then etched via a chemical process. A final print is produced by further exposure to light of photographic paper and another chemical process. It is tedious, exepensive and even potentially dangerous.

. In the new paradigm, you point your phone at it, see the final product prior to taking the shot, you take the shot and you're done. Progress.

. Yet I enjoy the old ways. Yes there's been progress, but there's still value in the process.
