Our friend Edna runs a succulent business out of her home and she let me wonder around with my cameras. I felt like this was a film opportunity screaming out for Fujichrome.
So, yeah, Edna's spectacular space is filled with layers of color and out of this world plants.
Brilliantly creative works of art around every corner.
How's that for a welcoming party of three?
Edna lives in a tiny house and uses 98% of her land for plants and art creation. That's a vastly different vibe from her Mc Mansion neighbors.
She recycles used ashtrays, wine bottles, forgotten china cups, used tires, you name it and Edna will use it to create something you love to look at. My favorite, is this fence garden made with two pieces of bowed lumber that someone didn't want.
How about custom art for people who want to repurpose something special? Like this punch bowl set from a couples wedding. Edna has grown this piece for 9 months and it's ready for the couple to pick up now before their anniversary. Pretty rad, I thought.
I spent another hour walking around with my DSLR and a macro lens, crazy freaking plants suuuuuuuper close up. I'll post them soon.

Quite interesting use of succulents! We had them as the centerpiece flowers at my wedding, but of course nothing quite like this!

OMG. I love succulents. I have many in my house thanks to my brother who cultivates them. Of course, the ones I see in your photos are much more worked out, adding the fact that your friend Edna spends so much time and space, it has no comparison with the ones I have at home. I can't hep laughing at the third and fourth photos! Very creative indeed. And your favorite fence really look great. I am trying to imagine the creativity as to how the succulents came out of the wood. Overall, you have very good shots there. I suppose you are a professional photographer. Is that correct?

I love the way how you focus on the colors on the photographs. It is a nice effect for making the picture more "alive". And speaking about life, Edna's idea of bringing the second life for the old and used objects is just lovely and very mature. I want to know her secrets! I have 6 succulents that were doing well outside this summer but I live in Wisconsin and had to bring them indoors for the winter and I'm worried that I will be able to care for them properly in here. Looking at the third and fourth picture , you reminded me of Indian rock garden situated in Chandigarh city of Punjab state. That rock garden have similar sculptute made up of waste material found on roads. Pretty i teresting to see so many artfacts made up of street waste material likes of broken glass, fiber etc.
All these artefacts is pretty similar to our Rock garden.do google it once to see how both the arts are similar. Really Edna manage some great artist mind that keep her place prerty occupied ...98%is too small to maintain all these beautiful cratfts work

That is really creative garden, Love the vegetation and the great imagination of Edna. Even simply looking at the pictures, they are so colorful and lighten up the mood, the plants and the sculptures really good made using great color combination and anatomy of us human being. Succulents have always been beautiful with their own interesting look and even texture which varies with each variety. I love how unique they can be.
I do love how Edna was able to add her own creative touches to the gallery, taking it steps further. It's definitely a candy to the eyes!!
I do love the one with the (mannequin?) more. Actually, I had to look twice to see what she really did there😀 but the colorful mannequin definitely gave it a pop!
