The locals call it the 'Big Red Barn', and it's a meeting place of sorts.
Totally visible from Hwy 101, it's the landmark that signals the start of "winery road" or Hwy 128 east to Napa, a curvy two lane road that sends you thru California's most expensive agricultural land.
This barn was built in 1928 and still houses all the field equipment and machines needed to maintain and harvest the 60+ acres of Sonoma grown merlot grapes growing around it.
I plan on coming back with color film but anything built in 1928 should be shot first in b&w, right?

Kodachrome-X might work for a color image :)
Here's someone trying to simulate Kodachrome with an X100F - link - unsurprisingly it looks a bit too sharp.

Everything in the fridge right now is velvia, but kodachrome would be incredible. The images from that link seem overly warm too, yeah? Are they just romanticizing the orange cast that was kodak's c-41 look at the time?

I think so. I just looked at a different simulation and it doesn't look so warm. They are probably going for the c-41 look but don't want to dirty up the image too much. I found some scans of slides from that era in cloud storage, so I might upload them.

Rad! I have one roll of kodachrome 25 inside an old minolta 35mm camera that's half exposed and I have no idea what to do with it. Maybe steemit has some ideas?

Great shot. The grass in the foreground gives a unique flavor :)
