Bollywood Films Which Made it to the US Box Office Top 10

The first and the foremost film in the list is ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, a film which redefined entertainment and made India proud all over the world. The movie, which was a sequel to the 2015 epic blockbuster film ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, set new standard in terms of storytelling, canvas and, not to forget, sleek VFX which has never been seen before in any Indian film. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty in lead roles, the movie released worldwide on 28th April 2017 and broke several records within days of its release. It did not perform outstandingly well only in India, but in many other parts of the world also, including the United States.

The biggest achievement of the film was that it competed with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars like Emma Watson and Tom Hanks. Their thriller ‘The Circle’, which failed to garner positive response for itself, opened with $9.3 million while ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion pulled in $10.1 million despite a lower screen count of just 420 screens. ‘The Fate of the Furious’, which was allotted 4,000 screens could rake in just approximate $19 million. ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ continued its steady performance in the coming days also. In just its first seven days of release, the film minted more than $13 million, which was as epic as the film itself. It is interesting to note that the prequel, which released in 2015, had earned just $9.3 million in the US in its lifetime.
