Hey guys… I’m starting give some introductions about glorious films that released. I think it is new for steemers. Today I’m going to tell about a film that is based on a true story. It is “Queen of Katwe”, a life of a Ugandan girl who living in a slum in Katwe. That girl is the world champion chess master Phiona Mutesi who changed her life playing chess.
A Katwe girl has two parts in her life. First one is her childhood. In that season she should sell vegetables, sorghum, fish etc. Second part is her young age. In that age she has to get into the market to been sell as a prostitute. But Phiona doesn’t like that life circle.
Her life is changed when she met Robert Katende who coaches soccer and teaches chess to Katwe children. She has a great mind to watch 8 moves ahead in chess board. So the coach helps her to go to the world chess Olympiad.
As well as she has a mother who never give up on her children. So when she had to face lots of problems, however she try to teach Phiona about chess. Then with the help of all of them she became the grandmaster of chess.
This is a biological sports drama film directed by Mira Nair and produced by Walt Disney Pictures and ESPN Films. This is released in September 10, 2016 and it was screened at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival. As well as this film has 7.4 rating in IMDb ratings and had 10.4 million USD for box office.
