Spouse Surprise

You may have noticed the volume of my content has been slightly more robust this week. After spending several weeks really easing into Steem, seeing if it was truly worth all the work that comes with writing a lot, I’m excited to say that it really does seem “worth it.”

As a woman with a lot on my plate – wife, mother, worker, student, elected official – I guard my time pretty jealously. That often means I don’t get to do as much as I want to do, but it also means that I and my family are taken care of without me collapsing into a nervous breakdown with my marriage on the brink of divorce.

I have to confess something, my Steemian community. I am hopeful that writing more will not only improve my mental well-being (something we could all benefit from. Am I right?) but also allow me to surprise my excellent husband with something he has been wanting to do for years but funds have never allowed it.

With any luck, he’ll be enjoying this surprise some time in 2018. I am being vague on purpose in case he reads this, haha.
