Ray Dalio's "Principles" is one of the hottest books right now. It reveals a lot of the thoughts and principles behind one of the most successful hedge funds - Bridgewater.
The book definitely gives some food for thought, and controversial for its anti-human nature approaches. Here are some of the essence in my view:
- Keep improving ourselves and think like a MACHINE
- Only work on MEANINGFUL work and keep only MEANINGFUL relationships
- Seek for truth and total transparency
- Pain is part of growth
- Believe everyone is different
- Adopt a meritocracy-weighed decision-making system
