Who I (we) are

Hello, Steemit!

Happy Saturday, December 2nd. This post is coming from a place of excitement for me. After using wordpress as a blog site for such a long time, I felt that this site would have many positive benefits that Wordpress simply cannot offer. Number 1: improved viewership. It is difficult for any randome Wordpress website to be viewed, and that is an issue, considering we write these posts generally to express ourselves to our peers and to be reviewed (on occasion). Number 2: I have the opportunity to reciprocated and grow relationships with other users of steemit. This will allow me to understand more of what this community and the external community values and how we can evolve together. Number 3: You can get upvotes and Steem currencies for good work, which is positive reinforcement to continue to author blogs. This may become a negative, as it could be distracting from true revenue sources. So, for the first 2 reasons, I am very excited to join the community.

I am 29 and in the finance industry. I am partner of a financial company. Our goal is to lower costs for consumers eventually across the world while giving very good advice. We feel that many current advisors are taught improperly that the finance industry is a place where they can make a lot of money (period). While this can be true, many advisors aren't taught to work in a client's best interest. Of course, the client's best interest would be receiving excellent advice for the absolute lowest price.

We are working toward better representation. We are attempting to lower costs on a platform level. If the advisor makes more money from the institution on a fee only basis, we believe that the extra money the advisor earns will be passed on to the client. By doing so, we will be able to get more financial planning clients and educate them and their following generations to make smarter money decisions. We have seen Learnvest results and it is not very promising at this time. In the long term, we hope to provide ways of reaching an audience using advance technology like the internet, machine learning, etc. but we do not have the resources to scale to that level yet. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Soon, we will be at that place, and until then, we will continue to work for a better client experience.
