I have made my first Bitcoin purchase. One of the things they you will need to get used to
when transacting in Bitcoins (Cryptos) is the concept of QR codes. They are pretty much
a way for everybody to know where to send their Bitcoins that they owe you. Its pretty
much your public key which was formatted so that i can be scanned for easier delivery.
Step1) For Coinbasethe first step is to open an account.
Step2) After you've signed up .... Coinbasewill also need your Driver's license or Passport to prove your identity in order to purchace crypto currency.
Step3) You will need a way to send and recieve fiat to and from Coinbase
You can use Credit Card/ Debit Card / Checking Account
Below is the breakdown of the fees associated with each method:
Purchase Method Coinbase Fees
U.S Bank Account 1.49% ($.15 minimum)
Credit Cars or Debit Card 3.99%
Step4) Based on the method of payment that you choose, you can either get your Crypto instantly
via Credit or Debit card purchase. If you are using a checking account there is a minimum
3 days of wait ACH ... Clearing House check. The good news is that you are locket in to the
Crypto price at the time of purchase. If the price of the crypto you bought went up then
you've just made some gains before your crypto was even available.
Step5) You can also download the Coinbaseapp for andriod or IOS This makes it easy to make
purchases using crypto cause you can just scan the QR code of the merchant.
You are now ready to spend your crypto's at participating merchants or you can keep it in your
coinbase wallet and sell when it goes up 10X :)
I will also be comparing different Bitcoin wallet providers later on to see which one is easiest to use and also have the cheapest rates in hopes to ease the barriere to entry into the crypto world
