This “thing” is very expensive

If there is something you have purchased, only to then realize that it is hurting you, when you regain control and are not using it, get rid of it. This should be obvious, but it is extremely hard to do. We often think, 'Maybe tomorrow I will have more control over this,' or 'Maybe another person can use it, so I will just keep it for a little longer.' It kind of sucks to get rid of something you have paid for, and now you realize that it is not only not serving you but also hurting you. The moment you are not in that trance, the moment you recover your sanity and realize this, do it immediately; put it in the trash or give it away as fast as possible. Don't give it too much thought.

You may get tempted to 'store it' so you can use it a little bit later 'when you really need it.' Don't do it. This is a trap that your mind is setting up; it will wait for those moments when you are 'weak' and use it against you.

Your mind will try to lie to you; it will tell you to 'just keep it for a little longer' and pretend that a little bit does not hurt. But it will hurt. Take action while you have control.
How many times have you said to yourself, 'This time I will have control over this,' only to then hurt yourself again? This same behavior has happened multiple times.

It will cost you more money to keep that thing with you for another minute, let alone for another day. The time to get rid of it is now. It will be very expensive not to do so.
