BURAK CANÖZER - PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN (FINGERSTYLE GUITARIST) FROM TURKEY

Born on January 5, 1980 in Istanbul, Burak Canözer started music by playing guitar at the age of fourteen. He was the head of The University of Istanbul Music Club for 4 years. During this time he taught a number of university students to play guitar and gave harmony lessons. Besides, he appeared in many concerts.

He is the ex-guitarist of the Turkish heavy metal bands Knight Errant and Almora. With these bands he made a total of four albums and gave lots of concerts between the years 2000 and 2006.

In 2004, he joined the Band of Turkish Military Forces. As a member of the band, he performed in about 50 concerts with well-respected musicians. This period had a considerable and positive effect on Burak Canözer’s perspective towards music.

He switched to instrumental music in 2005, when he released his first instrumental album “Saklıkent”. He contributed to the instrumental album “Valstanbul” (2007) with one composition, and he played all the guitars on another instrumental album “Saklıkent 2” (2008).

In his second instrumental album “Ufka Doğru” (2009), he accomplished a synthesis in which he reflects his musical identity.

In 2009, He also set up his new group called as 'KUVARS'. In 2013, He released his first album called 'Her Insan Yalnızdır' with this group and published three video clips during this period.

From 2014 since now (2018), He broadcast seven video clips. Three of them with sepearate artists and four of them with his another project 'SAKLI KALMIS MÜZİSYENLER' (Hidden Musicians).

By the 2017, He released his third solo instrumental album called 'Timbre Of Life' Here is composer, song-writer and arranger Burak Canözer with his third instrumental album. While listening to this album that includes various instruments and more ethnical tones, you will feel as if you are welcoming the new day in Scotland, daydreaming in Venice Adriatic, flowing through the daily life in Agean and ending the day in Anatolia.

In 2018, Three new video clips with Hidden Musicians and Music Club are to publish in June.
