It is time to put my finishing touch on the story. Should be an interesting write for me. I hated Chucky, and surely hope that is not the route I take, but we will see. If you have not attempted one of these, you are missing out on what could be an awesome imagination. Give it a try sometime.
The Script
Penelope had too many porcelain dolls. Her father, Til, had warned her when she was a child, "If you get one more doll, they'll rebel! That many dolls in one room have a mind of their own!"
He had said it with the kind of serious face that meant he was joking.
She had stopped buying porcelain dolls anyway when she turned 13, thinking they were kids stuff. They all got put in boxes, because she wasn't willing to let go of them, and who knew, maybe when she had kids of her own, they'd want to inherit her doll collection. Or maybe they'd be worth something someday.
But he must not have been joking.
The morning after Penelope had purchased Hans, the Oktoberfest doll, because it was just so silly and it reminded her of the year she and her husband, Charles, had lived in Germany, she took it out of the Dolls of the World bag to show her 6 month old son, Jacob. He tried to eat its face, as he tried to eat everything's face. The dog, Cupcake, had growled and barked, as she often did when things that looked like they had eyes seemed to make intense, unblinking eye contact with her.
Charles, ever the practical worrywart, swooped up the kid and the pup, put on the wearable baby garment, and took them for a walk so Penelope could take a nap. Penelope set Hans in the closet where the rest of the dolls, all still packed away, were.
She took a nap.
Penelope stirred at the sound of rustling. She opened her eyes a bit, and looked around sleepily. Thinking maybe it was Charles and the baby, she went back to sleep.
Hans peeked through the gap he made with the closet door. "damned it that was close!" he says to himself.
He turns to the bag sitting on the floor. With a disgruntled sigh, he opens the zipper.
Mary Poppins slapped him and whispered, "what took you so long to let us out? We have been in this bag for years. Look at the wrinkles in my dress!"
"Oh, pardon me Ms High All Mighty!" Hans had been trapped in there too, but couldn't do much at the time.
OMG, Alfred and Chloe! GO get a damned room! We have a serious situation here."
Alfred almost reminded Hans that they are in a room, but decided against it after Poppins pointed her umbrella at him.
Hans proceeded with his plans of escape. The biggest concern was Cupcake. "If that dog chomps on any of us, we will pour this liquid on her. It has been in my pocket for years, but I bet it will still work."
Mary asked, "What exactly is that stuff?"
"My concoction of acid and super glue. It will reshape the face and turn it into hard plastic. Now lets go!"
They head for the window, use Mary's umbrella to lift off, thanks to the fan blowing. Mary goes out the window first, then tosses umbrella to Hans. He tells Chloe to go next. As she leaned over the windowsill to toss Hans the umbrella, she tossed it too far. It clattered to the floor.
Penelope wakes up with a start. Charles goes running into their room, and sees Hans and Alfred moving by the window.
"What the hell!" he yells and attempts to kick them. Cupcake heard the panic and ran into the room. She ran straight for Hans and clamped down on him, then shook him with all her might. Charles stomped on the remains and looked in the closet. "Penelope, where are the other two?" Her face went flush, just as Mary Poppins came flying in through the window, using her scarf. Penelope swung the fan at Mary, knocking her off Charles.
"You were always my favorite, Mary. Idk what the hell you are, but your done." At that, she crushed the doll into dozens of pieces. "Charles, lets go hunt down that other psycho doll. We are never buying another doll!"
The evil conoction of acid and superglue was my favorite! I liked the mix between action and fun that's also your signature. I wonder what would have happened if their escape plan was going to succeed! 👍😁
