Finish the Story Week 66 Winners!

Hoist the colours, proud fiction writers and assorted oddities of the Realms!

Beneath the ephemeral colour of this placid river, that of thousand fragments of untold stories, things that live forever dance with those that are forever lost. But there are things that, right when you turn your gaze, the river stealthily returns, laying them down on the silty shore, under the dull November sun.

And so it was that, and now the 66th edition brought forth lively participation in the realm and the ever-energetic knights and paladins come forth firing all cylinders; well, firing bows and arrows, if you like. Not only the participants but also the discussions around the stories were enough to gladden a thousand hearts.

While the story outlined a malfunctioning sentinel, it seemed to have had some kind of effect on my internet connecting peripheral device (back in the twenty-first century, these were called computers and laptops) as well. It took it down too and hence the delay of a day. But going forward, we should be back to sticking to our timelines, malfunctioning sentinel or not. ;)

Briefly, the parameters for the contest, as previously underlined in several occasions, are the following: originality of the content / formal elements: writing style and lexicon, style consistency & homogeneity, fluency of the text / we also look for a story from the perspective of a collaborative writing exercise, hence the participant's half of the story has to give continuity and coherence with the prompt / respect of the 500 words limit, to be seen as a push to focus on the content and a way to eliminate unnecessary frills (“To write is human, to edit is divine.” - S. King).

And as @f3nix would say, we can keep enjoying and make this community prosper with a little help from everyone! That spirit was already seen in the 66th edition. So thanks and congrats to all. Also, congrats to @owasco and @carolkean for their @curie votes (the big ones) and to our participants who have been graced by @ocdb, @curangel and all our curators who enjoy and vote quality content.

As always, the community stays blessed by the support of @curie curators, the amazing team of @c-squared and, last but not least, those cool dudes at @crowdmind / @crowdwitness (always remember to sustain every one of the abovementioned by using your witness free slots).
And now, without further ado...

The Winners

GRAND PRIZE - 5 STEEM & 500 SNAX tokens: @phil-glaz!

A good story shows and tells the reader but if emotions can be added to this basic mix, the story reaches another level. It is interesting to learn about immortality without past memories. However, @phil-glaz shows that should these memories come back it would have a heart-wrenching effect on the person.

SECOND PRIZE - 3 STEEM & 300 SNAX tokens: @owasco!

The story takes an unusual twist and it gets catty from there. This Caturday, do take time out to read this story.

THIRD PRIZE - 2 STEEM & 200 SNAX tokens: @darthgexe!

There was an interesting twist in this story. The Colonel was a humanoid too which probably even the Colonel never knew. The sentinel escaped and Jennifer was actually the boss. Hmm.. turning everything upside down and yet coming out as an interesting story.

POPULAR VOTE

We did not reach the minimum three votes required.

BEST COMMENT @agmoore2

In fact, @agmoore2 was so active in the realm that if we take the comments, interpretations and the ensuing discussions with other members, it could be a story in itself. So, thanks and congrats for such active participation!

Give us a couple of days to send the prizes. Congrats once again!

Great contests and projects in this realm, thanks to @F3NIX and @bananafish and the long list of supporters. Your realm is fun and exciting - it's great to be here!

What I swear, I do! And, if you feel particularly daring, here's the key to the Bananafish Realms, where all sort of bizarre things may happen (or never happen, who knows). Thanks for writing with us!

I thank you very much for appreciating my interest in the writers here. And for the reward that comes with the appreciation.
You can see from the response this story received that FTS has value to the community. That's an achievement. Everyone who wrote, those who won prizes and those who didn't, had a positive experience.
Thank you for enriching the Steemit community with your hard work. And thanks, @oivas for giving us all a great creative adventure.
Congratulations to the winners! You shine in a spectacular field.

I'm working now on FtS management guidelines and soon ask for more funding. Thanks to you for your always meaningful presence @agmoore. It's really motivating. - f3n
