Hoist the colours, proud fiction writers and assorted oddities of the Realms!

FinishtheStory_Banner.jpg

Here we conclude yet another edition of the Finish the Story contest and we are proud of each of the entry. The submissions are setting the bar higher with each edition and when we thought that the two of us - @f3nix and @oivas – could make light of the work, boy, were we pleasantly wrong! Despite half the way across the globe, @f3nix would tirelessly converse and keep sharing his inputs on the stories and the storytellers!

Well, this edition also made me realise one more thing. Hosting a contest takes some effort, and @f3nix was hosting most of the contests all by himself for nearly one and a half years. So, here is raising a toast to our never tiring host @f3nix and for his exciting prompts!! Dude, you are fantastic!!

It is heartening to see the knights and paladins in and around the @bananafish realms, and we are happy to interact with all of you. Hence, one of the things that the @bananafish contest ensures is the prize for the best comment, which actually, signifies our focus on interaction and our aim to support each other. I think we are succeeding in that!

Lastly, congratulations to @dirge, @zeleiracordero, and @mgaft1 for the @curie votes (the big one). Also to our other participants who have been graced by @ocdb, @therising, @smartsteem, @curangel and all other curators who enjoy and vote quality content.

As always, the community stays blessed by the support of @curie curators, the amazing team of @c-squared and, last but not least, those cool dudes at @crowdmind / @crowdwitness (always remember to sustain every one of the above mentioned by using your witness free slots).

And now, without further ado...

The Winners

GRAND PRIZE - 15 STEEM: @dirge!

This one was a close contest between @dirge and @raj808. It was so close that the discord server was ringing between @f3nix and @oivas all through the night. Opinions and second opinions later, @dirge just about pipped ahead. It couldn’t have been closer than this.

@dirge’s story takes an unexpected turn at the end, especially when it seemed to flow in one direction. The best way to enjoy it is to read it yourself.

So, head towards @dirge’s entry and we promise you that you won’t be disappointed.

BEST COMMENT - 5 STEEM: @mgaft1!

Now, @mgaft1 is what I would call a team player. When she is free of winning @curie upvotes and prizes in the @bananafish realm, she goes ahead and supports her fellow writers in translating stories and making them win too. And, guess what, we haven’t even started talking about her comments on the entries in this contest.

It is difficult to cull out a single comment since @mgaft1 has had numerous meaningful interaction with everyone; starting with @f3nix on the prompt to every single participant. Amazing!

Congratulations @mgaft1!

Hello and thank you for hosting the contest, and congrats to the other winners. It's been a busy weekend for me so apologies or the late comment. Let me know if you need someone to draft a new prompt later

Congrats! And thanks for not guessing my ending. A new prompt by you would be what we need to counterbalance this diabetic Xmas mood. Would you also manage the two weeks long contest? Actually, that's very much needed.

So awesome!!! I can't wait to try my luck next round.

Thanks for being part of this, your stories and your presence make this community alive.

Thank you! Except it's "he" )))

@mgaft1 buddy, I was so sure that you were a 'he' from our previous interactions but somewhere through my interactions with all other members on discord, I concluded you are a 'she'. My bad!

So, "He-man" you are a great team player, still!! :)

Thank you for that vote of confidence! Now, when my he-ness is discovered and verified, I am ready for new challenges in the glorious team of story finishers! )

Doh! I thought you were a she too (@f3nix here). That happens sometimes! Thanks for being the soul of this bananafishian party.

It was my pleasure! I will monitor your channel for the next challenge. Have a great intermission!

I read the sequel to the story by @dirge and I must admit it was brilliant. Well deserved first place! Thank you @bananafih for presenting such attractive challenges.

Thanks to you too and congrats for your well deserved curie vote!
