No need to point from your end to the fact that's a figurative expression. I was just keeping the allegory going by meaning that those countries might look good but they're plenty of contradictions and social inequality. Mainly pointing to U.S. as a dominant cultural model. Italy is still different, luckly, and offers a good life quality.
