That's a very tasty tradition ;)

One question the cake, has a direct relationship with the poet, for example that was his favorite dessert or was it called simply in honor of him?

Hey, you have got some colours and some fancy looking poet with stylish glasses. And finally, there is food here. Only need to find a cup of tea somewhere.

On noi Ruuneperkin tortut hyviä :)

Vielä parempi on Kruunuvuoren torttu, joka on uitettu rommissa niin totaalisesti, että itse tortusta on tullut lähinnä rommin kantoteline. :)

Is it "Runeberg cake"
Invented by his wife and named after him?

Yes.

I think you could call it cake. It is Runebergin torttu in Finnish.

I commented to Mr. @gamer00, that I would love to try that cake. In my country when you can not, you say, to the one who can do it.
Saying enjoy it for me @markkujantunen

That's a photo by someone else under Creative Commons (see the Image Credit). I don't make those tortes. Neither does my wife. They are readily available at every supermarket at this time of the year.
