Eggs at easter probably comes from the fact that christians used to fast until easter. When it was time to break the fast all the hens had already ramped up their egg production.

So an excess of eggs lead to our easter-egg tradition..

My father used to give me one of those Fazer eggs every easter.
They are fun to open and the chocolate is great!
