Fiskars is a village in western Uusimaa, Finland. The village is the site of the former Fiskars Bruk, which was founded in 1646 and gave rise to the company Fiskars.

The village was originally a steel or iron making area a long time ago.The Fiskars store, has all the history and model of it.
The village is set along the river, with pretty walks, even in the snow.

There are a variety of designer type small shops and cafes .

Plus the Fiskars outlet selling cutlery ,kitchen tools,,home and power tools and also beautiful designer glassware ,lamps etc.

The sale us on some goods fifty percent off,so worth a visit. Mobility friendly too.

Have you visited to Fiskars :)?

No I have not visited Fiskars, and I think you live in the ideal country to keep posting photographs from! Always refreshing (literally). Does Iittala come from here? I love their cups and spoons and plates and bowls, and everything (but it's very expensive so I only have one tea spoon and two mugs and one bowl for my cereal)!

Thank you so where were you visiting in Finland, I like living in FInland to be honest. Oh yes, that brand is from Finland too, they are very expensive but I havent got anything yet for myself, may be I should get them too :D (that a cool collection you got)

I never have visited Finland. Only Sweden and Norway. I used to have a penpal in Espoo.

I never tried that penpal thing but I do send postcards to Friends or strangers :D may be you should visit Finland too at somepoint xx
