Seoul City will open the first Fintech company promotion institute, the 'Seoul Fintech Lab', in March.
Seoul City will open the 'Seoul Fintech Lab' (located in the Seoul Start-up Hub) in March, a professional institute to support Fintech start-ups and to establish start-up companies as a forward base for the Seoul Fintech industry.
Seoul City recruited a total of 24 companies, including 10 domestic and overseas pre-founders, 12 initial start-up companies with less than three years of business start-up, and two companies that are in the growth stage, to move into the Seoul Fintech Lab.
Start-ups companies or founders selected to move into the lab, can use the office space provided free of change for the first 2 years. Consulting programs offered by partners and Seoul Startup Hub's professional support programs are offered to provide support in matters as investment, law, etc.
In addition, the 'Seoul Fintech lab' offers information processing through a finance-dedicated private network, which allows information processing of banking, credit card companies, credit unions, credit rating agencies, and the national tax service. This provides an environment in which financial services in development can be tested in same conditions as reality.
