Live fire training is an essential part of any fire department. This is part of advanced petrochemical fire fighting.
This is done in instances where remote isolation is not possible and the only way to extinguish / stop the fire is by flame bending (pushing) the flame away from the valve and advancing closer and isolating the valve to stop the fuel supply.
The correct PPE and teamwork is of paramount importance for safety.
