Oil wells drilled traditionally by the people of Dusun Bhakti, Gampong Pasir Putih, Ranto Peureulak Subdistrict, East Aceh, exploded and caught fire.

Residents watched the flames spurt from a burning oil well in Bhakti Village, Pasir Putih Village, Ranto Peureulak Sub-district, East Aceh. A total of 18 people were declared dead, and 41 people were seriously injured and light in the explosion of traditional crude oil in East Aceh.
