canitstopabulletEpisode 9 of #canitstopabullet Season 1 we go #wildwest with an old #replica #blackpowderpistol against a #cddrive.

Again, we're always open to suggestions on the next items!

In this test, we find that the black powder pistol's penetration power is weak even at the range of a about 10 yards. These weapons were not designed like the firearms of today which have strategically sized and shaped projectiles for maximum accuracy, and penetrating force. This ball of lead was designed to end up inside of the intended target, and cause bleed damage and require surgery for removal. Pirates and civil war soldiers faced some seriously harsh fates if they ended up struck with one of these in their vitals.

This CD drive is an average ordinary one you might find in any desktop PC with no particularly special properties about it. Made of plastics and metals with lots of moving parts, it is not a reliable item to protect yourself against other, more modern projectiles.

Hope you learned something! Look for our post next weekend!
