This is how you season the salmon with delicious marinades

A salmon fillet is a great product that tastes really well with just a little olive oil, salt and pepper. You can also pimp up your fish, of course. Salmon is ideal for strong marinades or tastes really excellent if you prepare it beforehand with a spice mixture (rub).

The fish tastes best when you leave the marinade to soak for 2-3 hours or even overnight. Put the salmon together with the marinade in a freezer bag, seal airtight and put in the fridge. You can also place the fish together with the marinade in a large bowl and let it soak in. If you want to marinate the salmon for barbecuing, cut the salmon pieces as small as possible and grill them later as a skewer. Small pieces offer more space so that the meat can absorb more marinade.

Asian grill marinade

• 1 lemongrass stick
• 30 g ginger
• 1 clove of garlic
• 1 lime
• 50 ml soy sauce
• 1 tbsp honey
• ½ tsp chili

For this marinade use a pestle to beat lemongrass flat and cut into very fine rings. Peel and chop the ginger and garlic. Mix the soy sauce with the juice of the lime and honey and add the other ingredients. Your marinade is ready.

Mediterranean grill marinade

• 70 ml olive oil
• 1 clove of garlic
• 1 sprig thyme
• 1 sprig rosemary
• ½ lemon

Chop the garlic finely, pluck the thyme and rosemary leaves from the twig. Mix the olive oil with the juice of the lemon, garlic and herbs and you are at your marinade destination.
