Spooling Fishing LinesteemCreated with Sketch.

Hi Friends,

I do a little fishing from time to time, though not as often as I wish. This causes me to need to get new line on my fishing reels occasionally.

For many years, I would buy a spool of line, and then manually reel it on to my fishing reels spools, but lately I have changed my tactics. Now, I have been going to local tackle shops and having them put the line on with their own equipment. The result is that the line is cheaper to have them put on, there is no extra left at the end, and I save myself some time – all positives!

The only downside is the quality of the line sometimes isn’t as good or it is a bit older, like it has been sitting around too long before being used. However, if the line is fresh Stren or Berkley monofilament, then there isn’t usually an issue.

I am curious what other fisherman out there are doing these days – spooling the fishing line yourself or do you go have it done at a tackle shop?

Thanks for coming by today,

Brian

I go fishing every so often in Florida. Because I live right on a saltwater canal and I catch snapper.

I still spool it myself but that actually does sound nice to have it done at the shop. Might have to try that next time...

Nice gadget
