Striped Bass are just as fun to catch as Largemouth Bass, but they just aren't quite as common here in Florida.
There is 1 lake that is stocked very well with a great assortment of both, and that makes it a very fun and intriguing place to fish. It is fun to be able to catch more than 1 type of fish throughout the day and that is one of the reasons that I enjoy saltwater fishing so much as well. The variety of the catch keeps it interesting and leaves you not know knowing what to expect next. That is why I like the Turkey Creek Reservoir!
Not only are their Largemouth and Striped Bass, but there is also a plethora of Catfish, Bluegill, Brim, Pike, Gar, Speckled Perch, and Nile Perch. The Nile Perch are caught by commercial fisherman with cast nets and they typically won't bite artificial bait, but every other fish that I named is up for grabs here! This can lead to one heck of a fish fry!!!
I have never caught a really big Striped Bass, but that is definitely on my to-do-list and I hope to share the picture of it with all of you soon!
Stay High,
Definitely a nice fish in my book. All this talk about a fish fry is making me hungry. Please consider using the #myhuntingfishing tag for future fishing posts for higher rewards.
