Montana Carp

There is a lot more to catch in Montana than trout! Carp for example. Carp are becoming very popular as a sportfish for fly fishermen.

"Ghost" On The Fly

Carp get spooked easily if you are stalking them on shore. This is why anglers nicknamed them "ghosts." They are also hard to get to bite your fly. If you have one on, hang on to that pole tight because you're in for a hell of a fight!

Are you in the photo? Great to see other carpanglers! Beautiful fish mouths :)

Upvoted and reestem, I support others anglers.

I am not. That is either Capt Jeff himself or a client. ✌🏻

Do you fish?

I do! I live in Illinois so I mostly freshwater fish for bass and pike but I really love fishing the ocean's backwaters around mangroves

My partner in ReelFinatics is Dave Maynard, @terminalangler on Twitter, is an amazing carp angler. Catches them on the fly in Colorado

Awesome I love to fish regardless of what I am catching. I didn't realize carp fishing was even a thing in Montana. Cool post followed.
