Women make up a surprisingly big percentage of Reelfinatics® members on reelfinatics.com and who follow us on social media. Women anglers are easily just as skilled as men. A 200lb man can usually bring in a goliath grouper easier than 120lb woman. HOWEVER, if he doesn't know how to fight a fish then I'll bet the 120lb woman can get the fish to the boat quicker. Skye Burkhardt, for example has been sending and tagging ReelFinatics® in her photos on Instagram for over a year now. She is a highly skilled angler has been featured in an earlier steemit blog. Another female angler who is as good as most men anglers is Laura Thompson. I have also featured Laura on Stermit who is famous for her Fish Kisses.

Maybe I'm motivated to see women anglers in such a positive light because I have three daughters of my own. Maybe it's because I created ReelFinatics® and I've seen women catch amazing fish and they can be just as passionate about fishing as me which is what reelfinatics.com is all about.

It means, if you are a woman who loves to fish; fish like a girl! Casting. Setting a hook. Retrieving a lure or bait....don't try to fish like the guy on the other side of the river. Don't try to fish like the dude in the boat with you. Fish like you! Fish like a girl. Odds are you are already as good an angler as the shy boy who's afraid to make eye contact. In fact, I'm sure women anglers are saying, "I already fish like a girl!" I believe them too because it's already part of your personality if you're the outdoorsy type. You are already a self-confident independent spirit.
