Got out for a little bit of fishing I'm late afternoon. Managed to really find some smallmouth when they were in feeding on some shad. Managed to catch a small one, a 13-in and a 14 inch. The bigger ones really gave me a fight and took some line and wear a blast to catch. Those are some of the bigger small mouth caught from shore off this particular island. Kids are off having fun exploring and I was able to get a little bit of catching in before we headed back in the sun came down. Getting later in the year we don't have very much time before it gets too dark
