Gulf's largest coral sanctuary could triple in size under federal proposal

The sanctuary is roughly 100 miles from the Texas-Louisiana line. It was established in 1992 and added Stetson Bank, located 70 miles off the Texas coast, in 1996.

Interesting article about the proposal to triple the size of a coral sanctuary. I'm all for this, I think it's important to preserve this area, it's important to the fisheries of the entire Gulf. This would be a fun scuba trip too.....
