Loosening the slack

After a few days slacking off I've spent the last three days trying to get back into my workout groove. In truth I was probably coming down with a cold however I managed to stave it off by not over-doing it working out.

Over the weekend I made sure to get in some early morning runs. Only 20 minute each. Today I did a 20 minute run and did some pullups and an arm workout at the gym.

The next few days I'm really getting into it. I've got two PT and a Kick-boxing session this week.

A million excuses

Whether I take a week or a year off, it is always a slog getting back into working out. Most of it is psychological. The anticipating of braving the morning chill is worse the reality. Usually when I start running it doesn't feel to bad. However the minutes before are filled with a million reasons why I should put off working out.

It usually lasts a week or so before my body adjusts to the new reality of working out every day. I can see how easy it is for people to quit working out before they've really started.

It is difficult to get over the hump. It doesn't get easier with time, you just get used to working through it.

Seems I might consider hitting the gym pretty soon.
I am getting aroused gymnastically Lol!

But it still seem very great and good. I think you never should rest these daily workouts. Good to see you back to share some more with us @fitat40

Youa re right.
Sometimes is the best thing simply to start the workout and not to think :)
i know that feeling sometimes, if no motivation left to make sports.
