How often should I train to build muscle ?

That the first question is asked when somebody starts to workout.
Most people think ,if they train more they will build more musle.
But that is not the case, when I started working out I trained 5 days a week 2 hours .
I build muscle but not because I trained more Its becase it was the beginning.
In the first 2 month everybody will see a changes because it is new for the body.
After 3 to 4 month I did not see any changes anymore, I started to read more about bodybuilding , nutrition and watch youtube videos of people that have achieved something.
In my opinion people should start to train 3 day a week with a full body workout for 1-2 month.
