Never underestimate the power of a good playlist.

If you feel your motivation flagging, make yourself a mix! Sometimes a good collection of your favorite jams is all you need to kick yourself into high gear again :)

(Side note: these are my favorite headphones - Chris PAINTED these for me, with the tiniest paintbrush I've ever seen, for my birthday, with these precious lovebirds cuddling on them... They are the CUTEST!)

Think back and select tracks that light you up, make you think of times that you felt amazing, or beats that get you going!

Use songs that have a hold on your mind, emotions, and memories to elicit the responses that will get you ready to rage :)

Also, think about the tempo - that can help you set the pace for a run or workout, or it can remind you to keep moving at a quicker clip than you might otherwise...

One of my favorite tips is to start listening to your playlist while you're getting ready to work out. Throw in your headphones or crank up the stereo in the car on your way to the gym - priming your body and mind for what's to come can often help you get in the mood to hit your exercise for the day as hard as you can!

Music sure doesn't hurt if you're running steps like these! Although the sound of the ocean isn't bad either ;)

I like to go through old playlists and pick and pull from lists of my all-time faves, then add in some new tracks that I just can't get enough of :) it's always fun to put together a new collection of songs that I know I truly love!

Sometimes I will tell myself that I can only listen to these songs when I'm working out, so I get excited while I'm making my workout soundtrack and can't wait to get to the gym so I can enjoy it :)

When I'm feeling low or my discipline is starting to wane, I hop on my phone and throw together an upbeat, happy, heart-pumping mix that I know will give me the kick in the pants I need to get moving - it always helps!

BUT
For those steady state cardio days where you’re feeling antsy and like you gotta go be productive elsewhere, audible for the win listening to self help books like “The Piwer of Habit”!!

YES!!! I love a good audio book, audible is a game-changer! Rich Dad Poor Dad is my all-time fave haha :)

Yes! Such a classic! I think that was the first self help book I ever picked up actually! It created a monster haha

Yeah I love a good deep drum and bass!! Depending on my mood a little Salsa Merengue bachata..

I like mixing it up and it definitely makes my day 💪🏾💪🏾
