A beast workout or self inflicted torture?steemCreated with Sketch.

Aloha!

Last week as I was doing a short hike up Makapu'u lighthouse, I encountered this strong man and his two hundred pound sand bag. Shirtless of bull bronze with a headset on, there goes another bad-ass over achiever tackling an unconventional workout regimen.

On my way up the hill, I gave this man much props and some personal space. Seriously, who'd want to interrupt a man hauling a two hundred pound sand bag, grunting? But. But, when I came back down the trail and saw him still grunting, carrying that bag, well, photo opportunity it was.

Let me introduce you to a real BEAST...

Based on my observation, I think his routine was a one or two minutes break followed by a beastly carry and travel of 40-50 feet distance, then drop the bag to the ground for a quick break. This routine is repeated throughout the uphill and downhill with a total of about three miles.

Ok, I couldn't help it but smile when he passed me down the hill. Truly an amazing hard core workout. Of course, being a sassy that I am, I couldn't help but muster, "You can't quit now, it's the only path back home!" Made the man laughed yet he nodded in agreement. IMG_5345.JPG

Well, thank you for stopping by, friends. Just thought I'd share a story for my short term motivation to health and fitness. Thank you for your support. And as always, have a wonderful day.

Aloha!
