TRX & Bodyweight Supersets ROCK.steemCreated with Sketch.

I love TRX. It's pretty much the most versatile single piece of exercise equipment around...in my humble opinion.
And bodyweight exercises (pushups, jumping jacks, etc) are awesome as well.
Why? Because you can use your body and/or TRX just about anywhere, you can work towards any goal...and it's fun.

The video shows one of my favorite ways to maximize my time and get a huge bang for my "buck" of workout time. And that is: SUPERSETS.
By the way, supersets, triplesets, quadsets...whatever. The idea holds true for any of the dozen variations but the bottom line is this: take two or more exercises and do them back to back with minimal rest in between. An example would be pushups and sprints (even sprinting in place). You have a strength exercise focusing on the upper body followed by a lower body movement. So the upper body muscles get a break while the legs are screaming.

Why's that so great?

  • You get a lot MORE work done in a lot LESS time.
  • You keep your heart rate up and will burn more calories during your workout.
  • If the right movements are picked, you can also skyrocket what we call the "afterburn" effect, or the number of calories you burn AFTER your workout. So you're getting benefits from your workout upt 24 hours after you finish working out!
    Awesome.

I'd love to hear what your favorite supersets movements are!
And if you have any questions about how to add this to your workouts...jus shout!
