Bench day!
What's up guys?
Hopefully you're all having a great day so far
Did I get passed the 2+ reps?
It's time to start gettin a little heavier on bench. But first, let's get this guy into the gym.
If you're cold, they're cold. Bring them inside.
Oh yeah and this guy.
Got a second jump rope so Tarick and I can stop taking turns
Ok, let's warm up!
This one had me gassed lol
That got me nice and warm, so let's get into our working sets!
I decided I'd rather use my steel plates on bench from now on, no real reason other than aesthetics really. The big bumpers just look odd on bench and I pretty much have them for the noise dampening on deads.
Yeah I made 3, but I probably should have stopped at 2.
Accessory again was incline dumbbell press. That's about all we need to say about that.
As you can see, the 3rd rep was a little grindy. I knew it would be tough after the second rep but I didn't think it would move that slow 😰 oh well it is what it is.
EMOM anyone??
Conditioning went well, and I was really feeling my pecs after all this heavy work today.
Tomorrow is a rest day. I may or may not think of something to blog about. But Saturday is leg day and I should be getting something in I ordered for the gym upgrade so I'm excited about that!
Ok everyone, time to get ready for work. Have a great day and hopefully you get to train!
Getting up there in strength. I think a bench press is about 1.33 your bodyweight. There is an article that is the best reference for strength standards I’ve found. It was written by Steve Shaw who happens to be one of my favorite people in the industry. https://www.muscleandstrength.com/articles/strong-strength-standards-raw-natural-lifters I wonder if the something you ordered is a trap bar.

Dang that was a really great article, I'm definitely saving that to reference later on. I guess if I really want to go off those tables though, I either need to gain weight or lose weight. Gaining weight seems easier, but those numbers on lists sure don't LOL.
That's a good guess! We'll have to wait and see!

Nice effort and detail as usual. If you ever have room and are cool with it, could you put fitnesschallenge as a tag so it all sorts in the long run for the community we're building from the bottom up?

Haha no problem at all. You can always edit your tags, just not the first one, just for your own knowledge going forward.
