I’m completely stalled on Dumbbell press over multiple weeks, and am not sure what to do. Thanks in advance for the help!
I’m currently in a cut of about 1-1.5 pounds a week.
I started working out very consistently 2 months ago and have not missed a workout since I started. I work out 3 times a week and do a program similar to StrongLifts (squat, DL, row, Overhead press, Dumbbell press, pull-ups), except I don’t always do 5x5s. I just try to increase the workload or weights every time I lift. It’s been working very well on deadlift and squat.
On Dumbbell press, I started at around 50pound dumbbells and quickly progressed to 80pounds. I’ve been stuck on 80s for about a month. I can do a 5x5 on 80s but just tried 85s and couldn’t do a single rep. I’ve been able to do 1 or 2 reps on 85s in the past but not with great form.
Does anyone have suggestions on what to do?

That has been going up significantly for me. I have gone up a lot on squats and deadlifts

if you got near your ABSOLUTE STRENGTH, you need to look and catch A GOOD DAYS. you need to find out WHY is it a good day. If you want to lift heavier- you need to increase your body weight. Have fun!!
