Yes kids can do a 10 burpees, because they active 24/7, but ask a kid to do a 100 burpees as fast as you can, you will see that he/she is not fit. To train your self for the better level of your fitness without going out of comfort will take 24/7( as kids). Common adult people are your minds as KIDS(childish) and you think if you can do 1 push-up in a day you will get fit? If you can do 2 but in a shorter time, you are not are KID, You don't have time to play 24/7, so use your adult brain!!! If you have 10 minutes so try to push as much push-ups in that. If you have more you are lucky!!!! If you don't have 10 minutes for your self, you are not an adult!

I try to do at least 15 to 30 minutes of exercise each day. I wear leg weights most of the day ( 5 lbs on each leg), do a lot of walking, try to raise my heart rate that 15 to 30 minutes.
Unfortunately due to an AC joint Separation I find push-ups painful on my right shoulder, some still trying to search for good exercise that won't put too much damage on that joint.
That being said burpies are fun!

I lost "half my size" about 8 years ago at the age of 50. I suffered from miserable obesity for most of my life before this. I have never had problem with my weight since then.
I now coach morbidly obese people to help them do what I did, and the type of activity you are talking about is not a part of it. I try to get people to start be exercising in bed, since they have trouble with the daily activities of life when they have such great weight to carry. Later, there is a lot of gentle exercise they can do to continue losing and keep up with once they are fit.
In my case, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and burpees are completely out of the question for my damaged wrist, hand and arm bones and joints. But that does not mean I cannot be fit within my limitations and this is the message I give to others.

Currently 40%+ of Americans ore overweight and 40%+ are obese. Those stats are from the cdc in 2016 and so are worse now. I agree that the food supply is poisoned for the most part and people have no idea how bad it is.
There are over 900 chemical additives listed by the cdc as "Generally Safe." The majority of them (700+) are not allowed in the food of most other countries.
Anyone over about 30 has not been eating these chemicals for all of their life since they were not even created until recently.

I was a diet cola drinker for about 40 years and rarely drank anything else. Diet soda was one of the last things I gave up. After about 6 months of cleaning up my diet, I could no longer drink it since I could only taste the chemicals. Now I might have a few sodas a year. They will not be diet and will be organic if I can find them.

I agree what is 10 minutes out of 960 minutes of waking hours. This is based on being active for 16 hours and sleep for 8 hours. 10 minutes of doing some moderate to high intensity physical activity is worth it. To be honest my upper body strength is weak and if I could start with 10-15 push ups (proper form) without stopping that is a great starting point for me. I'm more of a speed and long distance walker.
I also agree that you can be fit at any age. My Unlce is 90 plus, but he's still playing golf (walking), going to the gym every day, and yes he can do a lot more push-ups than me, lol. I told him that I want to be like him at his age.....heck even now.
