Hey Everyone!
Today was a High Volume Leg Day that took about 1.5 hours. Here's what it looked like.
High Volume Leg Day 12/19/17
Back Squat
225lbs 1 sets of 5 reps
245lbs 1 sets of 3 reps
265lbs 1 sets of 2 reps
275lbs 1 sets of 1 rep
285lbs 3 sets of 1 rep
Because my hip flexors have been really tight from soccer, I had low expectations for the squats. It went to plan except that I failed the last set. But that's OK because it is just another sign that I need to ease back into heavy squatting.
Leg Press
450lbs 3 sets of 10-12 reps
-SUPERSET- (Means no rest in between)
360lbs 1 set of 10-12 reps
-SUPERSET-
270lbs 1 set of 10-12 reps
-SUPERSET-
180lbs 1 set of 10-12 reps
The next exercise is meant to target one of my biggest flaws, my hamstrings. Here is a picture from my competition last summer showing more bone than hamstring.
Lying Leg Curl
85lbs 5 sets of 12 reps
Leg Extension
180lbs 5 sets of 10 reps
Hip Abduction
3 sets of 10 reps
This exercise is definitely helping me strengthen my hip flexors.
