It is a joke to hear Advertising at 24-hour fitness

I came to exercise - to have some peace from the world- BUT...

For the past year, if you have been to 24-hour-fitness, you may have noticed a huge difference in what the gym plays over their sound system.

The huge difference is that instead of hearing the usual music, you get highly-annoying advertisements from 'Zoom Active Lifestyle Marketing' - in my case I get my brain bashed by trying to make me like "Belvita Breakfast Biscuits".

Did you know that Belvita Breakfast Biscuits have fiber to keep you feel full for the whole morning?

At this point I can quit my job and be a salesman at whatever they are advertising, because they constantly blare these horrendous advertisements to me Every Day.

Another winner was when they played people telling testimonials of getting healthy / in shape through fitness and they were crying tears of joy - Yes this was played over and over again for me.

I already pay 30$ a month!

Shouldn't I get any price reduction since I am being advertised to? I thought usually people pay some sort of premium to be ad-free... yet there is no price reduction for gym members.

Does this happen in your guy's gyms? What is your opinion?
