Better Late than Never! - 100 Reps - Day 84 - 6/14/18

Day 84 completing the #fitnesschallenge by @steemmatt! 22 days of straight exercises and counting! Almost to my 30 day goal! Join the #fitnesschallenge! I encourage everyone to work on their bodies!

Today was a pretty long day. After about 4 hours of sleep, I got up kind of early expecting a full day schedule and plans of streaming a nice, long live stream only to realize that the server I play on was down for the day. It certainly put a wrench in my plans, and I figured I might stream This War of Mine instead but that never quite happened. On the bright side, I did get a cool new logo thanks to a new Steemian that is waiting on his confirmation e-mail (finally got my old streamer buddy to sign up!) - Look forward to talking about this later. Ended up doing my workout around 5 pm but then I went to bed, didn't wake up til about 10 pm, had to give a friend a ride and ended up at my workers house as we waited for the phone to ring. Nothing happened until 2:30 am. Made me wish I had taken the time to make this post earlier because now the sun is coming up and it's too late for me to do a rock post as I still have to go judge some comedy entries! These obstacles are something I anticipated as I got more involved within the Steemit community. Sometimes it's more important for me to go share my upvote with minnows than to make a post.

Today I wanted to get 200 reps in but there was just no time. I thought I would have time but nope. Being well after 4 AM as I write this, I am extremely delayed today so there's no point in trying to squeeze in another 100 reps now, so I have to go with the 50 squats and 50 pushups I did earlier in the afternoon. No big deal! I am just happy that I got them done then, or I would have had a skip day. Still feeling good about my fitness and my current progress though!

Meals

Need to do some groceries and still kind of scrounging the bottom of the barrel here, this afternoon I had a sandwich, the last of some BBQ chips and a poptart for lunch. It was pretty good, and I know it's not very picture worthy but my idea here is that I am trying to avoid any sort of fast food or mcdonalds. The other night I had some mcdonalds late night because I was hungry but I regretted it with the heartburn it gave me. I'd rather just make food at home, no matter how bland it might be, it's better and in my opinion cheaper than getting fast food. (This won't stop me from the occasional Anchor Burger, Sushi or Gyro though)

Dinner was pretty much skipped since I woke up so late. That means that as I wrote this, I still hadn't eaten dinner and it's already morning so I'll be having a ramen and chilli breakfast today. Ramen isn't exactly the most healthy but I don't use the entire seasoning pack, and I bought some frozen veggies to go with it instead of just bland, seasoned noodles.

My Motivation

Replacing my smoking habit with exercise! I am now going on 18 full days without cigarettes and I think I'm able to keep on going without them! It's still difficult when I smell second hand smoke, but I am starting to really dislike the smell as opposed to the smell making me want a cigarette. I'm just happy to be 18 days without it. With my birthday coming up, I have to be 100% done by then.

When I joined Steemit I made the decision to always Power-Up my earnings. For now, payouts are set to 50/50 but you bet I will convert & Power Up! Besides internal transfers, I have never cashed out and don't plan on it! Power-Up only!
