15,622 Reps From 12 Steemians After 41 Days - The Steem Daily 100 Rep Fitness Challenge - 50 Push-ups & 50 Squats - Day 42

in fitnesschallenge •  5 years ago  (edited)

600 reps from 6 Steemians this round! Well done everyone.

Challenge completed - 25 push-ups & 75 air squats among some other weights.

Please step up for yourselves to improve your health right now. It's our most valuable asset.

You can now work together to produce "team reps" to more easily get involved.

  • As long as 100 reps of a combination of push-ups and squats are done, reply on my posts with those who helped.

  • I encourage more of this so people don't feel intimidated. The goal is to be happy, proud, and healthy from this exercise and participation.

  • Uh oh... excuses are thinning!

Current charts with everyone's stats and progress:

It's not a competition between people, but it's one with ourselves to improve our health and wellness.

Day 41 Results: 600 reps from 6 Steemians for Wed EST, 9/25.

Talk is cheap. Actions matter. Thank you for being involved!

My 9/25 Reps & Feedback: 25 Push-ups & 75 Squats

  • After 100 squats the day before, my legs were surprisingly ok. If anything, my chest was a little tender from 100 push-ups earlier in the week on top of machine chest fly reps at the gym, but just normal soreness.

  • I also did 33 bar curls with 75 pounds. My biceps and forearms are starting to tone up nicely again after just a few days of curls.

  • I can't get over how fit my legs feel and the size difference in my quads/hamstrings and calves. I obviously didn't have them in good enough shape before.

  • I never use supplements or any type of cheating. Just food, hydration, passion and hard work.

Today's Highlights:

  • @bitfiend took an hour to do his reps because he's sick. Wait, he's sick and still did his reps? NO EXCUSES. Thatta boy.
  • Rumor has it that team @soyrosa may be back with another contribution soon...
  • @thevillan snuck in at the buzzer with his first completed challenge in a while! Good to see him back.

What's the challenge?

50 push-ups (modified if needed) and 50 air squats. If you want to do a different ratio or split, that's fine. Just reach 100 reps from these options and reply below with an affirmation, pic, link, or video. We're on the honor system.

*Team entries are now accepted.

If you can't do all of the push-ups, I know you can do squats for the rest. Get involved!

To people new, see the kickoff post linked below. We'll be opening up to other exercise types in due time. I'm trying to keep this simple for now to get everyone assembled and on the same page.

This is for your health. Why not try to join us just once to see how it goes?

To any interested Steemians who want more info/background: *Please see this link from the kickoff post for details.

Everyone please support and encourage the team here. They're working hard to build a community the hard way. It's about the bigger picture.

Make sure you go 90 degrees with your elbows and legs, with your back straight, on each rep. Don't have your elbows too wide on the floor. Feel free to help others if they look like that can use some advice.

Again, this is just a baseline of activity for the day. This will be far from all I do on most days, and the same can go for you.

  • Markets and spirits may be down now, but our health should always be on the rise.

  • We don't always need an app and tokens for everything, or to worry about things we can't control.

  • Worry about what we can control. Let's put the human back into fitness here, and you will see and feel results.

Rep on,
@steemmatt

Sort Order:

My morning program after warm up and stretches;

  • 1KM jog
  • 50 push ups
  • 50 military push ups
  • 20 burbies
  • 20 squats
  • 1 minute punching(hooks)
  • 1 minute arm rotation(clockwise and anti clockwise)
  • 30 seconds arm scissors

100% motivation. I have been on this for a while now. It is proper upper body training bro

Now you're back in business. I'll count the burpies since they're a push-up/squat hybrid. 140 reps there, but you did a lot more.

Burpies actually affects most parts of the body.
Meanwhile, I'm working on a project to use scrap metals to form dumbbells and benching weight.

Some pull ups on this beauty 10 sets-5 reps=50 plus a regular reps.

Sweet. I'm trying to arrange locally constructed equipment for myself. I'll make a post bout it later.

When you broke the bars, did you run away before the police got there?

Did you run away before
The police got there?
