Challenge Overview:

  • You choose what types of exercise reps to do.
  • 30 minutes of fitness walking, running, spinning, biking, cross-country skiing, etc., can count as 100 reps if you need to rest or can't use weights.
  • I'll award 1 SBD for every 10,000 rep milestone. (24 SBD paid out)
  • I run the numbers daily which is sometimes harder than my reps.

Conditions:

  • Weights not required.
  • Do real reps, use good form, aiming for 100+.
  • Start your reply with "Challenge Completed".
  • Reply with a list of the exercises and reps you did.
  • Cumulative tallies are appreciated as a separate line.
  • Only submit reps you've done, not ones you're planning to do.
  • Use the tag "fitnesschallenge" on associated posts.
  • Upvoting or resteeming is appreciated to reach more.
  • Try to upvote as many contributors as possible to motive each other.

Advice:

  • Stretch before and after.
  • Breathe properly on each rep.
  • Quality over quantity.
  • Eat a healthy snack after/stay hydrated.
  • Start with exercises you enjoy to build up for harder ones.
  • Take before pictures to appreciate results over time.
  • Feel good about your accomplishments.

From @musclegirlfusion:

"Since I started posting in this challenge, you've given me a reason to blog on steemit. No matter how discouraged I get when it seems like no one is reading what I write, I know I can write it and post it here and it adds to the challenge. So thank you for giving me the motivation I need to stick with blogging!!"

From @bitfiend:

"After starting 6 days ago I already feel stronger. This is definitely the most consistent exercise I've done in an extremely long time but I am happy to be taking part! While I walk around mostly in pain, I know it's all for a good cause! My health! I am feeling better and I'd say my sickness is mostly gone now. I think that if I had not been exercising, I may have been sick for a bit longer. Persistence pays off!"

From @mightpossibly:

"I find it deeply satisfying to do these reps, which is a big deal. I've always hated the gym and prefer to exercise at home. But I've lacked the discipline to do it. It sort of feels like I have gym buddies now, without the hassle of going to the gym."

From @notorious562:

"I seriously cannot explain how much this group pushes and motivate me to keep working harder. I love this fitness community and the support and encouragement will help us achieve our goals."

From @khufu:

"Your challenge has helped immensely to keep me motivated lately. I've had a lot of... problems going on so your challenge has been a quantum of sanity in an insane world for me."

I'm with you on this m8, there are some people who make no effort at all. I have been doing 1% for those people but now they ain't even gonna get that.

I'm also with you on this and upvoted you also to more fully emphasize how I also feel about this.

You're right... I've been blindly upvoting people... but now I'm going to check if they've upvoted the post first.

I'm fully going to join you guys on this! It really sucks... People don't bother to take 5 seconds to upvote even though IT DOESN'T EVEN COST ANYTHING!

I know my upvote isn't worth shit but the least I can do is taking a few seconds to upvote all of the comments here...

I'm with you on this too. I give matt's post 100% every time. Will make sure I stop upvoting those who don't upvote him as well.

I love how vocal you and others are getting about this issue. I have noticed that some people are only into posting to get some upvotes and don't actually bring anything to the group. Thanks for always supporting the people that truly are here for the right purpose.

I agree.
It sucks you're expecting an upvote without even giving yours which probably doesn't even amount to anything.

some people haven't even upvoted the challenge post, yeesh

Yes, this is unfortunately the case. Glad to have your support.

@steemmatt, I suggest making upvoting the daily post mandatory to have the entry recorded. But it's up to you, of course.

I appreciate you all looking out. The thing that gets me is when I pay out SBD to anyone who may fall in that category. Even if it's a fraction of a penny, it's the thought. Not too common though.

Agree! That is exactly my thoughts.

I agree yes it does help minnows like myself to earn an extra SBD. However, I thinking big picture my health is my reward and motivating others is an award in itself. Keep up the good work and of course I have been upvoting since I joined the challenge.

There's no doubt about the latter :)

Daily Challenge Completed - 200 reps:
-200 Full Russian Twists (10 pound plate)

200 Russian twist talk about beast mode. I am sure your abs are loving you right now! LOL

It's pretty easy for me probably because I'm only using 10 pounds or because so many years of baseball has made most rotational exercises seem that way. I've just missed two home runs this year (top of fence and foul), so each twist has rage behind it to not be denied again.

200 reps straight, right? :D

No way! I do them in sets of 50 holding my legs up off the floor. I could if I went super slow and had some heavy metal music for 20 minutes.

Daily Rep Challenge Completed : - 130 reps

consisting of :

  • 30 minutes of Cardio - 100 reps
  • Titan Fitness Test - 30 reps

Probably a stupid question; What exactly is the titan fitness test :D?

Not at all... it's not an indicative name at all.

There is a new reality show called The Titan Games with The Rock as host. When you apply to be on the show, they mention a fitness test... so I've been doing it a couple of times a week just to make sure I'm fit and ready if I get the call.

Alright, that sounds interesting :)! Hopefully, you get into the show!

25 reps

Basketball (shooting & 2on2s):
2,5h/150min

Not sure how much of it was fully "active", we played a lot of 2v2s but we also did some shooting which is just casual...

Lets just say =300 reps? Is that fair? Idk :D...

An exchausting 1,5h business meeting:
=1000 reps, atleast...
jk. This isn't going to be counted, even though it fully should...

Sitting inside for 90min straight trying to stay fully engaged... :c

IN TOTAL

=350 reps

Haha nice comedy. You're a "teen"... what's with the business meeting?! Shooting the ball is not going to be something we should establish as reps, but 2v2 definitely is tough cardio.

Well, this is a question that I get asked a lot when I talk about business stuff :D!...

But shortly explained; the meeting was with a local brand that me and my friend are looking to collaborate with (we're running two drop shipping stores and we're planning on combining them and actually starting to produce our own products).

Awesome! I sell a lot online, but not drop-shipping. Good for you to start young!

My Assessment

I know I didn't do much, but I am still pleased I did some sort of exercise. I really enjoyed walking out in the open countryside and within the woodland where I live. The sun was shining, the trees were showing their buds finally and the temperature was warm! woohoo! Finally! It has been a long winter, and where I have been traveling the previous four years to returning home last October, I am not used to the English winters! I now know I am not going to stay for the coming winter ;)

Anyway, my walk was beautiful and stunning. I know I could have run, but I was enjoying the walk and taking all the scenery in :)

I started with walking, no shame in that! Honest reps is where it counts!

Every day adds up! Feel free to share 1,000 words with a pic of the scenery next time.

Or a video :) im going to start posting videos soon!

I'm late in posting again.

i really like this iniciative, i think this project may be very important or acepted by spanish people, if you want i can make the translation of your post to spanish for free, i hope this idea can get a lot more of people, let me know if you want it!

That's a very kind offer. There's not too much to translate, but perhaps the first challenge summary would be a good thing to have in Spanish.

"At least 100 honest reps of your choice of exercise. No excuses. No bullsh*t. Just actions, positivity, results and progress. Only post AFTER your reps are done. Always support each other. Full guidelines and conditions below."
